“the application of knowledge via training, leadership and collaboration, to challenges faced by industry”
This Centre will provide industry and the community with education, training, advisory and testing services in environmentally valid technologies, methods, healthy and safe work practices, and responsible management across a range of industry sectors and occupations.
The Centre will take a leading role in informing and assisting industry enterprises to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, and in trialling and demonstrating cost-effective and technically viable approaches to achieving a sound “triple-bottom-line” approach to business operations.
The Centre will encourage an environmentally-informed community through links with Schools and community organisations.
The Centre will lead training initiatives in resource management and resource management plans (including water, energy and waste) for industry to increase their capacity to meet community and government expectations and legislative requirements.
The Centre will work directly with regional water authorities, industry associations, companies, researchers, innovative project managers and other key stakeholders in design and delivery of training programs to meet individual and company needs.
